Currently on my way back now. I feel great. A lot better than I have been feeling for the past few days, weeks even.
I met Jolynn today. Everytime I do, some sense gets knocked into me. Every single time. And its good, because its a powerful reminder for me. Its like a reality check. That I’m focusing on the correct things. It gets me thinking, something which, honestly, I haven’t been doing for the past few weeks.
Focus. The focal point. In physics term for a converging lens, a focal point is the point whereby every single ray of light that passes through the glass, they will all pass through the focal point. In a way, we need to set our focal point on the right object. Where is your focus? On earthly desires? Wanting to please yourself? Or is it on Jesus? Just like the rays of light passing through the medium, so should our actions and feelings be focused on Jesus. If something isn’t in accordance to the word, then is it something that you should be doing?
Everything that we do should be to glorify the Lord. Whether is it something simple, like schoolwork or something like going to church every Sunday, its to be done for Him.
Colossians 3:23 KJV
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Whatever we do should be for the Lord and not for men. Why should we seek temporal gratification when the joy of the Lord is eternal? Would you rather satisfy your earthly desires or would you want to be happy, because the Lord had gave you joy, peace and love?
Will post more later.
